The Life Somehow Shall Click On, The Days Shall Also Pass! Poem by Lajpat Chawla

The Life Somehow Shall Click On, The Days Shall Also Pass!

The life somehow shall click on, the days shall also pass!
If you were also with me my dear, it was different, alas!

May be the set of circumstances did a belligerent trick,
Some forces unseen as if, stole the building brick,
The brick of love was crushed into a tiny powdered mass.
The life somehow shall click on, the days shall also pass!
If you were also with me my dear, it was different, alas!

The rainbow we dreamt that came and sat on your eyelids,
It tries so hard to reappear, somehow it always skids.
You wear a dress of gray and black, once a colorful lass.
The life somehow shall click on, the days shall also pass!
If you were also with me my dear, it was different, alas!

The destiny plays a role so cruel; sometimes it makes it hard,
The dreamy sketches so lovingly drawn are very often marred.
A glimmer of hope at end of tunnel whispers, this too shall pass
The life somehow shall click on, the days shall also pass!
If you were also with me my dear, it was different, alas!
