The Light Is Our Guide - Poem by Monica Partridge
When we let our hearts fill with nature's delights
our eyes open up to the most beautiful sights
the colours suddenly seem much brighter today
and it becomes so much easier to find our way.
We find love and friendships as we travel along
our weakened spirit lifts up and grows strong
as the miracles before our eyes are revealed
and the many wounds life inflicted are healed.
Like a rainbow at which end there's a pot of gold
life's journey holds treasures that never grow old
the path is uncertain with many choices to make
that often we don't know which direction to take.
That's the time when we need to look deep inside
to reach for the light that's always there as a giude
that gives us our strength when we need it most
and helps us find the way when we're alone and lost.
