The Light Still Shone In Her Eyes Poem by Paul Warren

The Light Still Shone In Her Eyes

I lie back and think of her
Wishing my days were younger still
And the light that shone
In her eyes still did so for me

I think of her decision
That she made to go when
I wanted her to stay forever
The years have passed slowly

But I remember her still
And the way she looked
At me when the morning sun
Still shone for me.
