The Little Member Poem by Richard Ikolo

The Little Member

Rating: 4.5

That which no man can tame
Except by the power in His name

Little but utters perversive words
Sharper than the sharpest of swords

Pulled down matrimonial domes
Sold at cheap prices many homes

Sent mindless victims to the gallows
Yet, zillions ready to join their fellows

Rendered Michal barren for life
Made her an unfulfilled wife

Proud, piercing tool
Weapon for the fool

Speaks lies and deceit without caution
Dragging talebearers to their destruction

The tongue, a little member
But deadly, remember.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
The damage and destruction done by the little member(the tongue) can be better imagined than described. This little piece perfectly illustrates it.I give glory to God for the inspiration given me to write this poem.
