The Love Of Humanity (Sonnet #118) Poem by Tina Baaklini

The Love Of Humanity (Sonnet #118)

We fought so hard to be with each other,
But when love is real, sacrifice is worth it.
Your tenderness blossoms me when I wither;
I believe in love. Till the end we'll make it.

Your devotion never ceases to touch me deep.
You're my soulmate and companion on the path,
Flipping the sun to make me laugh, never weep.
Chemistry draws us close; who needs the maths?

We tread as one heart, one soul along the way.
Only you can swim deep and touch my soul.
Upon you I rely as my protégé;
True love is versatile; lovers switch in roles.

In your heart, I found the love of humanity,
For in the city of my soul, live only you and me.
