The Love Unremovable Poem by RIC BASTASA

The Love Unremovable

setting poetry aside,
let this poem state direct to the point
what it wants to convey,
it is all about you
(no names, nothing personal)

i hate loving you, but just the same, i am a fool
always loving you,

the heart is foolish
the mind is powerless
it keeps strength
at noon
steel but when the evening comes
when the rest leaves you
abandoned
it confesses upon the weakness of snow
melting flakes
surrendering to the love of your soil
self

hate you, love you, hate you, love you
crazy indeed
but what can i do
it is true. it is always true.
