The Lowest Point On Earth Poem by Kenneth Maswabi

The Lowest Point On Earth

I am not a geologist
I am not going to plot coordinates on the global map
The lowest point on earth is located in the mind
It's a point beyond sorrow
A dark spot where everything taste horrible
It's a depression at the deepest part of the mind
Where everything is tasteless
And all matters of the heart are absent
It's not equivalent to nothingness
It's the opposite of emptiness
It's a place full of dark grief
A place inhabited by the depressed mind
It's not a place for tears
It's a place for the most horrible thoughts
That bite the mind with such ferocious force
Puncturing the soul
And spilling the light inside the spirit
Depression is a place no one wants to visit
It's not a desolate place
It's a place full of hopelessness

CoVID-19 Outbreak is not only a respiratory disease
It's a mental health challenge…
Stay safe, stay home…take care of your mind

You are absolutely right. Depression is the most harmful state that breaks a man completely. Thanks for sharing.
