The Maiden Fair Who Left Without Knowing Poem by Candace Johnson

The Maiden Fair Who Left Without Knowing

'Maiden Fair,
With the golden hair
I ask you, will you give your thoughts
For a scarlet rose? ' asked the squire.

But an answer he never got
For the Maiden Fair jumped on her horse
And road to Camelot

Poor dear soul
If only she knew

The squire was really a Prince with a silver heart
