The Man And The Devil Poem by Jessie Lima

The Man And The Devil

Once upon a time there was a young man.
He wanted to prove the devil wasn't real,
So he created a plan...

He would search everywhere,
What was there to find?
'The devil did not exist.'
The young man had made up his mind.

He look for the devil at
cubs, and bars.
Places where sin was easely found.
For his happiness, and gladness
The devil wasn't around.

That night when he went to sleep,
In his 'dreams' he had a big surprise,
The devil found him and said:
' I am within those who think they are all that wise! '

' If you can't find me, is bacause you are not looking that close,
I am with those that are proud inside.'
The young man froze.

When he woke up the next morning,
He started to pray,
The young man soon found out
That he didn't know what to say!

He was so scared,
But now he was a believer.
What a smart young man.
Smart, handsome, and cleaver.
