The Man, He Knows Me - Poem by Jocelyn Sumido Dunbar

He knows me, he saw the essence of being me,
The way I work, the word I use and say,
The knowledge and wisdom I had,
The responsibility I gave, the essence of
Being a person, being a woman, and most
Especially he sees being a mother I am.

He knows me, he is the only man who
Sees me, in deep sense. The beauty
And the simplicity I had. He just discover
The important of being me, a woman.
He has a fantastic view as a person, he had
A wonderful sense of personality,
He is the most perfect man I ever met.

He knows me, to love and be loved, open.
He found himself the deepest of his being
Deep within because of me, the essence of
Being a man. He got mature for everything,
I inspired him to go through the journey of
Life alone, I am glad that his moving forward.

He knows me, the man of his image, he is
Not perfect but inside of him is totally
Complete. I pray that God will protect
And provide him his needs for everyday.
I hope that someday we will see each
Other both successful in life. God speed.
