The Many Shades Of You Poem by Amanda Shelton

The Many Shades Of You

I fade into you,
like a pair of worn out shoes.

Green, you grow on my soul.
Blue, you can cry on my shoulder.
Red, you make me mad.
Yellow, you make me mellow.
Black, oh you'll come back.
Gray, you're like my shadow, you follow me everyday.
Pink, you make me blush.
Purple, you wear a crown to show your royalties.

Then there's you,
your hue is the best,
for you make me feel like all the rest.
