The Mealody Poem by Dez Clark

The Mealody

Lost in this crazy mansion
While fireflies are wildly dancin'.
Throught the halls I hear a mealody
Like a beautiful much needed remedy.
I walk into the master bedroom
And then I stumbled over a broken broom.
I looked up, staring in shock
A man who played better than Bach!
I watched as his fingers hit the keys
And listened to their tiny shrieks.
He had a wonderful harmony, as I must say,
And even a great voice that gave no pain.
He sang a song about this marvelous girl
Who would mkae him the happiest guy in the world.
Then he turned to me and said,
'Oh my! Have you hit your head? '
He could tell I was dizy, numb at least,
So he reached for my hands and swept up my feet.
I stared into his chocolate brown eyes
As he layed me on the bed and kissed me goodnight.
