The Melodies Tonight Poem by Benjamin Chiu Uy

The Melodies Tonight

The Melodies Tonights

All your life you were parts, if it had not been these inspiring parts,
You'd half missed the truths, emptimess and the essential madness, that the day brings,

Songs, were beautiful words music drawned outfrom vocals, claiming a niche
in your simpleheart's chambers,

These chanteuse were singing in plaintive vocals their romanticlove tales, love songs,
Into your ears, consciously, unconsciously,
Ballads, melodies and the soul declarations,

Twilight's redeeming hours, midnight's lost wanderings, encapsulations, enchanting escapades, these were your only friends,

In these lonely fields of intimidations,
These were your indispensible allys, the minstrels, balladeers, faithfull lovers andalternate windows, spellbinders and the choirs to another skies,

They bypassed all realities, angers, circumvents, fears, past frustrations,

They were coming from the neighborhood's skies, stereos, juke boxes, FM's, stations, the pubhouses and the living rooms,

In your uncertain moments, they were providing sincere plans,
You'remaybe just a plain mortals, tetherings between darkness and hopes,

Lillian, Rosemary, your wife,
Salvation's angels, a girl is listening somewhere back at the sheds, climbed back from thesebrinks,
claimed back diadems, that you are entitlings,

Come back tonight as in any other nights, befittings the kings, and the ordinary citizenries,
