The church was quiet, the pews at rest,
When the phone rang out, breaking the nest.
A trembling voice, a desperate plea,
"Father, help us, come set us free."
Through darkened streets, his car did race,
To a flickering lamp, to a frightened face.
A child with tears, clutching her bear,
Her innocence caught in a world of despair.
The Shattered Sanctuary
The door ajar, the room in pain,
A house of love now marred by strain.
Glass on the floor, anger in the air,
A woman in the corner, silent despair.
The man, a storm, pacing in rage,
His love locked tight in a self-made cage.
"Who are you? " he thundered, fists in the air,
But the priest stood firm, a calming prayer.
Words of Healing
"This is not the man she chose to wed,
Not the father whose stories her daughter's read.
Love is sacred, not meant to control,
Let go of this anger; reclaim your soul."
The storm paused, his fists now still,
A crack in the armor, a break in the will.
His knees gave way, his tears ran free,
A man reborn on a healing spree.
The Light Returns
As dawn embraced the weary sky,
The house exhaled a collective sigh.
A family, fractured, began to mend,
Guided by hope, with love to tend.
Father Coutinho, his heart at peace,
Left their door, his mission complete.
For even in shadows, light can bloom,
And love can restore the darkest room.
A Question for Us All
What of our homes, our sacred place?
Do they hold love, or show its trace?
Let kindness reign, let patience guide,
For in love's glow, no darkness can hide.
