The Midnight Mystic Poem by RIC BASTASA

The Midnight Mystic

Rating: 5.0

the mystic
in you
is here with
palpitations of
the heart
when the clock
strikes 12
when all the dogs
sleep and you
wake up towards
a door and with profuse
sweat you look for cold air
outside the house
the trees are ghosts
with many eyes hanging on
leaves staring at you.
