The Mind Poem by Palitha Ranatunge

The Mind

The mind has no control?
Does it required to be packed tightly,
Rigid and solid?
Or to float free like thin air
Everywhere,

It is within your parameters
Of life experience or readings
Or what you heard,
Censors of five organs create
Its movements, it cannot go far,

Mind is a storing component
It stores every stimulation
Of the five senses as perceived
The said perception is stored
And creates your attitudes,

The only matter in the human brain is
It is too much for him to explore, hence
The best is to give it mysterious
And super form, and make
Nutritious theories on it,

It has gone far in eastern philosophies
It condemns the other body parts
In the biological process of making
Energy, the waste they despise most
And treat the human body as full of filth,

This is a machine, it takes fuel
And make energy and waste both
This is a great injustice causing to
Other organs of the body by one
Being ambiguous naming as soul,

Let the mind be mischievous
Its freedom is the righteous,
In this word of three dimensions
Tamed mind is a caged bird
With healthy feathers of no use,

The mind is a water overflowing
In a fountain in a virgin forest,
Free to run every where, giving
Life to every form around
Until whoever consumed its quota.
