The Mockingbird And The Hyena - Poem by C Richard Miles

A shocking, cocky mockingbird
Teased ceaselessly a shy hyena
But, eaten up, without a word,
This meanie found hyena's meaner!

The hyena's laugh was his last
This meal was not his best
    Indigestion came on fast
For the flighty bird in his stomach wouldn't rest.

Hope you'll write more poems such as this
Or the one about the cat and spider
For the moral, you cannot miss
As in life there is always something bigger
