The Moment When I Saw Her Poem by Jean P. Gomez

The Moment When I Saw Her

Rating: 4.5

When she showed up in my life
Like a sunshine in a rainy and cold day
I looked through her beautiful eyes
And I realised that I could never read them

That awkward moment
When she shone like a shooting star
And my heart melted as a snowman in summer
I knew that I’ll have to break all my rules

She looks so fragile
Like a rose in autumn
Waiting for the cold winter
But she could be more stronger than me

All I want is to be her knight
So I would protect her from pain and fear
I will keep away every doubt
And keep her warm when she sleeps

A good depiction of the blissful and spiritual experience of love, well articulated and nicely penned from inner recesses of the heart with conviction. A lovely poem indeed. Thanks for sharing Jean. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
