The Moon Poem by Kail Montoya

The Moon

Rating: 4.0

I saw the moon tonight,
I saw the moon last night,
I try to see it every night,
Sometimes I don't,
And others I do,
But the nights that I don't,
Are when I feel most alone.

I picture your face,
An image burned into my mind,
Never fading, ever bright,
Through the passage of time.

Your eyes are as lovely as midnight,
And lit up just the same,
The stars burning just as bright,
As the twinkles of your eyes aflame,
Your beauty is only amplified,
When viewed through these dark crystal panes,
The windows to the one I love,
As warm as the light of day,
Swimming through their voluminous depths,
As sensuous as a calm and placid lake,
Making me melt with love and joy,
And giving all back that I take.

Your lips, so bright and pert,
Sets my mind aflame,
Makes me beg for just one kiss,
And remembering their soft delicate caress.
Only drives me more insane,
And when they part for that pearly smile,
You display those wonderful teeth,
Making me more wishful all the while.
Your lustrous hair cascades down your beautiful neck,
Making me able only to stare,
And your wonderful curves and skin,
Only make me want you laid bare.
You intrigue me, humor me,
Uplift me, and care,
You love me, desire me,
Accepted my heart,

As no other dared.
I love you, I desire you,
I wish only good do you fare,
And of your heart,
I will forever take care.

I saw the moon tonight,
I saw the moon last night,
I try to see it every night,
Sometimes I forget,
But others I do not,
And on those nights,
I am never alone.
