The Moon Over Me Poem by Roger Snow

The Moon Over Me

~~~~~~ Moon ~~~~~~
In the Night,
is a Sphere
that Hangs as on a String
up there hanging around
watching us here
down upon us
watching everything
Fear has been known
to be felt, ,
watching those eyes
along it's belt
at times, Fear Grown
beyond simple surprise
beyond anything
we've ever dealt
So, , across an arch within a Bowl
of Stars, ,
Slips and slides in peace
in a way, not so radical
as it is more like sails
filled with breeze, ,
slipping away slowly afar
Come the Night it rises in full, ,
Lovers come out to feel it's pull, ,
Love to love,
they fall to the ground
making love til exhausted
amazed at the Pull of the Love
they Found, , ,
That Moon
is not so much about
what we see
it's more about the feel
we experience,
when it slides beneath the Sea, , , ~~~~ End.
