The Moon Rose Poem by Stuart Ferguson

The Moon Rose

Rating: 5.0

Moon Rose

It is only when the moon lustre gathers the
Salt sand desert in its effusive grip
That this Rose will blossom
Her silver almost imperceptibly invisible deep red tracery
Of thorn and petal holds
A pulsing fascination of smoke thick stars

An eternal moment of irradiation
Sounds deep - silence
Light gives birth to her face
The climb of her stem bears witness to
Our countless other lives
As a Rose
