The Mystique Lady Poem by Dr. Sougata Banerjee

The Mystique Lady

A misty winter morning
Chickadee chirping in the snowy woods
The white Pines caress the Cumulus Cloudscape
And the zephyr soothes the heart
Sitting by the hearth reminiscence....

She came shivering after an enchanting morning shower
Soggy cascade dripping with warm water
Dew drops on the bare torso…
There she stands my beloved love
Dazzling with a mischievous smirk…

Oh Doe eyed lady
Scuttle towards me with all the suppleness
Tempt me with all your compassion
And let me plunge in your entire mortal
Forbid me if am erroneous my Goddess

But she stood still like the Alps in a fullmoon night
Embraced thy quintessence and clasp her tight
Kissed the rose petal lips
Lost thyself in the eternity of adoration
And the time clogged in desperation…

A burning pain broke thy delusion
Eyes full of tears and heart full of memoirs.
She came so near yet so far
Remembered, just retreated from her graveyard
Death has separated us long back.
