A golden tower, reaching high,
Built on dreams that touch the sky.
Markets hum, a busy sound,
Wealth abounds, on fertile ground.
But shadows creep, where sunlight fades,
A darker truth, the system braids.
The river choked, the forest gone,
For riches sought, from dusk till dawn.
A few with gold, a shining hoard,
While many toil, and can't afford.
Tiny hands, that should be free,
Now stitch and sew, for you and me.
The oceans sigh, a troubled plea,
The air grows thick, for all to see.
The windswept storms, a fiercer breed,
A wounded Earth, begins to bleed.
The hungry chase, for endless gain,
Can blind us to, the rising pain.
Who holds the power, makes the call,
While values bend, and nations fall.
Is this the path, we want to tread?
Or can we build, a world instead,
Where fairness blooms, and spirits soar,
And wealth is shared, by rich and poor?
