The New Anthem Poem by Dawn Novus

The New Anthem

This is The Way of Nexus

Forgotten is the red-hot anger that warmed our insolence

Stoked and kindled within an inch of its life

Torn down and turned to white dust

Hair full of this confetti

Empty sack a shawl to keep warm

The soldier turns to soldier

Enemy lines are blurred

Animosity is replaced

Rival fighters embrace with shining face

Into a gentle noble dignity

And the hate vein forever atrophies

The black dog never again succumbed to

Not no more

The way of nexus is carried in your heartline

Like a migrating bird aligns from within

It just flies on home

Empowering and power embued

The missing piece that was always there now placed

Sings a new tone in a new tongue

Sings a new song

Anthem of The Nexus

I'm already humming this NEXUS anthem when I'm alone and when I meet fellow seekers we will sing it together. You celebrate such a quiet victory for those who are peaceful there won't be any post-rervolutionary violence. We are mellowed into victory.
