The Night's Song Poem by Justin Gildow

The Night's Song

You say you're never going to get the chance
The time of year for you wishing to go to the Christmas dance

Well hun, I can say I never went to any dances, homecoming, or prom
Yes to you, to me, they're all long gone

I know you had your heart set
But opportunity hasn't come knocking on your door yet
Whether you get the chance or not remains to be seen

If it doesn't go your way
Just find a place with me

We can dance
We can admire the scenery
When it all comes down
We'll slowdance to the night's song
We'll be in the sky with the stars of Warburton
We'll be running in the valleys to the mountains of Burma
Whatever may come
Whatever may be
Just follow me
