The Nights Of My Loneliness Poem by Shalom Freedman

The Nights Of My Loneliness

Rating: 5.0

The nights of my loneliness
Are longer than the days of my happiness
But the days of my happiness
Are my real life

It is often better in old age
To pretend the light is nearer
And to forget for a time
the long litany ofpains and sorrows
behind and to come.
