The Oddity Poem by RIC BASTASA

The Oddity

they all wore
white
except you
on that occasion
wearing black

they all wept and
you find yourself
laughing within

when they all stood
up you were there
sitting blankly
on a chair

they all waited for
you to say the last word
but then
you bowed your head
and then walked away

and then all of them
died except you and
here you are
trying to figure out
what is this
all about?
