The Only Difference Between Me And My Mirror Image Is I'M Not Running Away Poem by Richelle Stutz

The Only Difference Between Me And My Mirror Image Is I'M Not Running Away

I know of a girl
Just like me
We both look out of the ordinary
Our fingers and toes are croocked like twigs
And neither one of us is very big

I live over here
And she lives way, way over there

In a time that seems to escape my memory
We were oh so young
We met and had joyous fun
It's kind of sad that I couldn't talk
Even hardly walk
I would have asked so many questions
Like 'How do you handle rejection'

So many things I want to be able to relate to
I want all of the answers to be true

But now I have my chance at my age of thirteen
I try and try and try again with no response
I can't blame her since she is in so much pain
But I've tried for nine days up until yesterday

All I want is a comment with one word
'thankyou' or two words
'call me'

She is my only chance for sanity!

So the two words I'll say to end this once and for all

CONTACT ME

that's all
