The Only Man Standing Still

Rating: 4.8

Have you ever seen a man
Giving up himself
And walking around the streets
While rain is cutting him in
You look in his eyes
You know they have some thing to tell
Some thing came from strange sadness and silent thrill
You look at him
You see him breaking, but you see him happy-
Smiling and walking in circles
Crossing streets looking at the sky
Thinking about something only he can tell
Yes, he might look different
But I know he is like treasure to sell
Suddenly, a man stopped me and told me:
' lady, don’t look at this man, he is crazy,
You don’t want him to hurt you as well'
But what if we were the crazy people
What if he was the only man standing still

i really like this poem its like this man is a light in the dark in which you cant look away from his sight. I like how you explain how pple telling u not to go to him and look at him then at the end how what if he was the only man standing still. Excellent, It reminds me of this one guy i know i love him like crazy and when i look into his eyes its like on a higher level and i cant look away and my friends also told me not to tlk to him cuz he would break my heart. Good work keep it up =)

Great poem, it's very fluid. I like the line with 'silent thrill' in it especially.
