The Only Thing Received Poem by Kindred velarde

The Only Thing Received

The most words go unsaid,
our life trials goes on in our heads.

Your image is not your own if you didn't know, your image is what others have said.

In the community today, all our thoughts are not our own for they are the unspoken words we've understood.

The world of peace and supposed freedom comes from the ones who've only talked.

Years of talk, but the truth came only from those who knew. Their twisted words, their ideal captions and approved their own rules.

We've been promised everything and they shall confer, but honestly, nothing has been earned.

They teach you 'right from wrong', but truly who's to say it's ok to do what we have done?

The most words go unsaid, to stay breathing keep your thoughts internal. To stay in control, don't show to them your different from the rest, if they know they'll change you and tell you they know what's best.
