The Only Way To Play Poem by RACHEL ZARANTONELLO

The Only Way To Play

Rating: 5.0

I crave excitement
stir the pot, pay the cost
Never give in, never let up
Fun is a game I've never lost
I wasn't prepared for the people
in my neighborhood at all
Mr. Rogers didn't prepare me
for the event of a fall
Know the other player
it's a win-win for me
Just playing the game
Make it as fun as can be
How long will I do this?
What lessons will I learn?
I already know better
Roll the dice, it's my turn
Some things are too much fun
to give in and walk away
Have fun. Enjoy what you do
It's the only way to play.
