The Orange Poem by Jessica Layman

The Orange

Rating: 5.0

Your poris skin
weighed down by your scent
squeezing you softly
your scent surrounds me
intoxicating
my mouth waters
at the thought
of how you must taste
I peal back
that which hides you
from my eyes
you are bare
and I eagerly await you
starting at your base
I run my tongue
through your part
splitting you open
I take you in to my mouth
savoring your juices
as they run down
my chin
I am enamored
and enraptured
by your taste
your scent
the way you feel
against my lips

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
At the time I wrote this poem I was working a lot with the idea of the seven deadly sins and I wrote this to portray the way a glutton feels a sensuality towards their food.
