The Otherside Of Me Poem by Lushan Massri

The Otherside Of Me

Rating: 5.0

The otherside of me.
My alter-ego.
The good side of me.
Yeah right. I don't think so.

Two minds.
Put in one.

The battles we've fought.
The battles we've lost.

The different sides we see.
The different sides of me.

Happy.
sad.

Good
.Vs.
Evil.

I can't take this.
I'm about to let go.
I can't let it go on much longer.

It's an eternal battle for the rightful place.
Running around in helpless circles, a never-ending chase.

I'm growing weak.
Won't be too long,
Before she wakes up,
and it's all too late.

My dreams are nightmares.
My nightmares are dreams.

Nobody hears me and my helpless screams.
Nobody sees the tears streaming down my face.

Nobody seems to care.
Nobody is ever there.

'Cept for my alter-ego.
The otherside of me.
The bad side.
The evil side.
Finally right. That's what she said.
Nope this is all in your head.

Nobody is telling me what to do.
True. But you tell you.

That made no sense.
All depends.

On what?

The otherside.
The way of us.
What we do.
What they tell you.
You and me
Show them
What we see.

Alright.
Let's show them.
Show them what we can be...

I really like this poem. It describes the battle between two personalities. One always wants to be in the lead. Keep writing Lushan. =]
