The Owner Of My Stars Poem by Tristan Maverick

The Owner Of My Stars

Rating: 5.0

My stars
Where are you my stars
My stars
Not only bright… white
But of every color
Your beauty is incomparable
Just as your love
Your hope
Your strength
All captured within your stars
Some may not see it
But I do
I see it all

I yearn for it all
But it is out of reach
So far
The dual stars
They draw me in
Seemingly to torture my poor soul
Showing me everything I want
Everything I want within reach
But, just an illusion
For I cannot have it
I may not hold them
I may not hold him

The owner of my stars
In my tender embrace
My deep
Loving
My long embrace
I may not kiss the owner of my stars
The kiss
The one kiss
The true kiss

I have nothing to give
The owner of my stars
So that I may have them
All I have is my compassion
My trust
My heart
My dedication
My love
My all

The stars
My stars
My stars that I may not touch
Am I not enough?

This is simply beautiful. I love the way you almost allude with each stanza. Wonderfully written.

They all shine for you and You, them. Fire and Ice need your cool heat. 'Shine on you crazy diamond.' Imperfect, perfect faceted being. And just to think, I can borrow your deepest eyes for a while, until that is, we blink. Thank you for you light and love.
