The Pain Eclipses More Pain Poem by Terry Moore

The Pain Eclipses More Pain

Rating: 4.5

The tension is unbearable, my love is unchangeable
Next to her, there is no other girl
Why do I love the unloveable?

I give my heart, though we're apart
Countless tears, more than all my years
Why do fools fall in love?

I'll make her happy, love her laughing
Love every inch, loving her's my niche
Why would I die for her?

She loves another, a friend, like a brother
Yet my longing heart, is stuck on start
Why start something she'll hate?

My purpose is clear, to erase her tears
But risk my own, they cannot be shown
Why must I be so strong?

No man compares, to the love of a man of dispair
I wish to be hers, so she'll never be hurt
Why can't no other man say that?

I'd stand this torture, to make sure
That she knew, my honest and loving truth
Why is it hard to let go?

I've been on other dates, but some how I can't break
My feelings for her, my love's strength and power
Why must she be love blind?

She says she can't, when I can bet
That she'll never regret, our future relationship
Why can't I get through to her?

Her lover refuses, yet her love she never loses
For a guy who says no, while she leads me into the know
Why is she trusting me?

I am her best friend, though our loves end
Passion is what she lacked, when I could give it back
Why does she seek it in someone new?

I am out of the norm, my emotions are much more
Than the man next to me, my love is a certainty
Why can't she give me a chance?

He breaks her heart, I sense us to start
She says no, I want to know
Why would she be the hipocrit?

She drowns her sadness, goes into madness
Finds a newer man, kisses him before holding hands
Why would she be so easy for, but so hard for me?

Knew him one night, my anger tells me to fight
When I realize, that her lover deserves the first fight
Why would she try to hurt him if she loved him?

I hate her, I hate her, I hate her
I love her, I love her, I love her
I want her, I need her, I miss her
Can she really be the love of my life?
