The Parade Poem by L. K. Thayer

The Parade

Rating: 5.0

once when i was little
i was wearing a new
dress
with my grandmother
watching a parade,
it was sunny and i was
gleeful,
happy in my new dress.
a girl walking my way
punched me in the stomach.
i guess parading in my new
dress
made her mad.
she made me cry.
