The Party - Poem by Brian McMurdo

Dancing moving fighting
Movement in the darkness
Pulsing like my heart
Yet I am still numb…

Music voices noises
Wash over me like a wave
Pressing down on me
Yet I am deaf…

Lights limbs faces
A whirlwind of colour
Flashes before my eyes
Yet I am blind…

Thoughts messages impulses
Rush through my brain
Arguing with my heart
Yet… I am lost to you
