The Past May Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

The Past May

Little memory is good
The past must be understood
It is good to be associated
And sometimes related

It serves so purpose
If more of time passes
With its retention
It needs no personal mention

Past has to be slowly erased
The future has to be raised
On the lapses of past, if any
And it must surely last

The past may give some happiness
If it was glorious
But may surely pain
If permanently remained

Keep it and remember
But not always as desired
It must be used as beacon
To learn and guide falcon
