The Path Of A Lie Poem by Randy McClave

The Path Of A Lie

It is created by jealousy and anger
And sometimes by a bad deed,
It is then nourished and formed by deception
It then becomes a seed.
Then that seed is carefully planted
Into distortion and forgery and fiction,
And there it will grow and sprout
And then it will bring forth judging and friction.
It will spread very fast and quickly
As does weeds and a vine,
And it will cover and chock out the truth and beauty
When on good plants it will intertwine.
It is nourished by evil and darkness
It is watered by the fears and tears we cry,
But, it can only live for a very short time
That is the path of a lie.
