The Peace-Full Heart Poem by Shehu Abubakar Niasse

The Peace-Full Heart

Rating: 5.0

Let the sky roar and rumble
And beat me with whips of rains.
Let the earth quake and crumble
And fall the walls of world.
Let the wind whirl into whirlwind
And throw me its stony grains
Let the tall trees of this forest choose to rest
And bring me no breeze.
Let my eyes turn into levee
And then flood into seas.
Let the whole world be at war
And my tongue, my gong will still sing some songs of peace.
Because I learnt a wise man said,
'Oneness is the secret of everything'.

Beautiful poem written with clarity of thought and mind. Well conceived with a call for universal brotherhood of man. Thanks for sharing Shehu.
