The Pendulum Poem by Dilip Pattanayak

The Pendulum

Rating: 4.0

Seen there everywhere
the existence of a pendulum;
in shop, in temple, in church,
in school, in bus
and with care it is kept.
But like a mad in the asylum
it is kept in a clock.

To search out its existence
inside a cage like clock
it moves to and fro.
No way is there to advance
in its mission, 'cause of a block
put aside by the clock
for out not to let it go.

Man is blocked, checked today.
No effort is seen on his part
to improve his spirit, to get
bettered in life and
in someway the salvation
of which he is mostly keen,
'cause he's engulfed world's bait.

Man is imprisoned in this world.
There is no way out for salvation.
Jesus is on the cross still;
the Ram-Rahim fight goes on;
and they hold it constantly
which is an exception,
'cause there comes
a black sceptic night;
awaits a night that of Mahabharat
obviously when all Yadavs become mads.

The pendulum is loose.
Man spends his energy uselessly.
A terror of deluge and
destruction clads the world.
Choose MAN, choose the right path!
