The People Who Got The Benefit Of The Virtues!
The people who made sugar cakes in the mill
in the early hours of the day will not get worried
with pain while the molasses of the crushed
sugar cane are found burnt in the fire!
Likewise, the people who got the benefit of the virtues
obtained by straining their physical body from
their younger age will not get worried about
losing their life while the God of death comes!
This poem 'The people who got the benefit of the virtues! ' is a translation by me of a poem from Tamil literature 'Naalatiyaar'
இன்னிசை வெண்பா
கரும்பாட்டிக் கட்டி சிறுகாலைக் கொண்டார்
துரும்பெழுந்து வேம்கால் துயராண் டுழவார்;
வருந்தி உடம்பின் பயன்கொண்டார் கூற்றம்
வருங்கால் பரிவ திலர்.35
அறன் வலியுறுத்தல், நாலடியார்
