The Philosopher Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

The Philosopher

Tell me something I don't know
I am the wisest … or so I am told
I have seen many things of this world
Many are revelations others are old

Awareness has given me more knowledge
Than I have fine feathers and clawed toes
I seek the highest places to see far beyond
There is nothing to interfere or oppose

When the moon is high and glowing
You will hear my voice echoing woo-hoo…
Not asking an inquisitive question
I am commenting just because I want to

My searching eyes analyze patiently
I appear philosophical because I am perceptive
I swoop down, surprising and stunning my prey
My solitude and stillness are often deceptive
