The Piano And The Drums Byy Gabriel Okara (A Reading) Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

The Piano And The Drums Byy Gabriel Okara (A Reading)

Okara, whose is the piano
And whose the drums
And what do you like to play with
The piano or the drums?

Perhaps the African drums
Making the panthers flee,
Fishes and animals
And the ghosts and spirits dance.

With the beats and dances
Of your fellow people,
Dancing and singing in the forests,
Feeling joy of Nature, pristine world.

Whom will it not charm the hamlet homes,
The hills, vales and woods,
The rivers and the wild
With the sheets of green turf?
