There is no one in this world today
Who could love you like this guy.
And if by chance there ever was,
He could only reach a tie!
I’ve painted you so tenderly,
Right from the very start,
With the bristled brushes of my mind,
On the canvas of my heart.
Words like rivers deep and wide,
Flooded dry and barren ground.
What lifted me to higher plains
Was the love in you I found.
All colors mixed with pigments,
Pallet knives scrape across the sky,
Blend the colors of the rainbow,
That I see within your eyes!
If I live for a thousand years,
Or only one more day,
May I be remembered for loving you,
In everything I do and say!
