The Play Poem by Melissa Koeman

The Play

I played my part in the play of today
All the seats were taken
But in the shadows I crawl away from the spotlights
Wanting to break
Finding a way out of all this
Always searching
I’ll sent you a message from my heart
Will you receive it?
Hope finds me, while the fires are burning in my heart
As I wait, the days seem endlessly
I am breaking apart, where are you?
I want to cry out, don’t want to be on that stage
Without you…
