The Train Is Coming - Poem by Melissa Koeman

I’m lying tied to the rails
In the distance I can hear the train coming…
I feel the vibrating of the rails
It’s getting nearer and nearer
And I know, I can sense that you’re on it
Smiling,
Cause you were the one who got me here
Tied to the rails
Waiting for the wheels
To crush my already bruised heart
