The Pleasant Light, Laying Aside The Child And Sleeps!
The pleasant light peeping into the room,
in search of a place to sit and rest,
roams across the shelf, cot and the corners,
but finds a fine and suitable place,
kisses over the forehead of a baby sleeping
in the cradle, laying aside the child and sleeps!

மெல்ல நுழையும்
வெளிச்சம்
உட்கார இடம் தேடி
அலமாரி, கட்டில்
அறைகளின் மூலைகளென
சுற்றி விட்டு
தொட்டிலில் உறங்கும்
குழந்தையின்
நெற்றியில் முத்தமிட்டு
உடன் படுத்து
உறங்கிப் போகிறது.- கவிதாயினி வெண்ணிலா
