The Pocket Prayer Poem by Randy McClave

The Pocket Prayer

FATHER:
God, and the son Jesus
Never will they leave us,
They are always at our side
In us they will always reside.

YOU ARE GOOD:
You've always been there
For my every prayer,
You gave me what I did need
My soul you did feed.

I NEED HELP:
You sent help to me
In them your hand I did always see,
I felt your loving embrace
In them I saw your face.

THEY NEED HELP:
As I had needed help before
I am now there at their door,
They are my brother and/or my sister
Not a stranger or Mrs or Mister

SO, I PRAY:
Unto you I will ask
What is my next task,
And I thank you for all you have done
Thank you for your son.

THANK YOU:
I can never say thank you enough
You have given me my first and my last puff,
You took away my worries and my strife
And you gave me an amazing life.

IN JESUS' NAME:
In the Lord's name I've done it all
You changed me as you changed Saul,
You have forgave, and you have forgiven my sin
In Jesus' name, Amen!
