The Poem That Is Everything Poem by Shalom Freedman

The Poem That Is Everything

THE POEM THAT IS EVERYTHING

The poem that is everything
Colors the sky
Waits for the night
Hears of Love as it once was,
And feels it,
Leads itself backward in time
Into the trees the sea
The distances of what the Great have done.

The poem that is everything
Prays to G-d
And hears G-d
And waits for G-d
And loves G-d
But is not G-d.
The poem that is everything is everything
That is
And is not.
